About the Triton Museum of Art

The Triton Museum of Art collects and exhibits contemporary and historical works with an emphasis on artists of the Greater Bay Area. The permanent collection includes 19th and 20th century American art of the Pacific Rim, Europe and beyond. Our goal is to use an open-minded approach to create thought-provoking exhibitions that reach beyond traditional presentations of art.

Erin Goodwin-Guerrero, Caught Between Heaven and Earth
The art of Erin Goodwin-Guerrero is the product of a curious and questioning mind, a restless hand, and the need to be heard, as much as seen. Most of her painting is loaded with content that is accessible to the patient viewer. The recent work is charged with aggressive color, yet the complex symbolism and layers of related imagery require attention and reflection to extract bits of sensible information. Details

Flights of Fancy, New Work by Livia C. Stein
Livia Stein views her art as a statement of irony, humor and sadness about all that she tries to accomplish in her life.Bits and pieces of non-linear narratives join together in brilliant color to create fanciful tableaux ripe for open ended interpretation. Like puzzles which can be taken apart and reassembled in multiple ways, Livia Stein's work invites the viewer to play, even when dealing with serious and heady themes. Details
